People and roles
Understand the different contributions to a guide, from its explanation and source checks to practical alternatives and language support.
Different questions
Writing, proofreading and checking a practical alternative are related jobs, but they are not the same job. A readable explanation still needs accurate quantities. A sourced claim still needs appropriate context. A correct result still needs to fit the question the reader asked.
The role shown beside a guide describes the contribution assigned to that person or support identity. It is not an automatic statement of specialist qualification or a guarantee that a separate professional review has been completed.
Reading a profile
A profile brings the relevant focus, approach and background into one place. Confirmed qualifications should be read in their stated field and context. An illustrative portrait is not evidence of identity, experience or professional registration.
Where a biography is provisional, that status remains visible. AI language support is identified as AI assistance rather than presented as another human specialist. Reader trust depends on the accuracy of those distinctions, not the number of names beside an article.
Raise a question
If a contribution or credit seems unclear, identify the page and the part that needs clarification. Questions about the substance of a guide are welcome too: a missing condition or ambiguous instruction can matter more than an isolated typographical error.
Use the contact page without sending identity documents, health records or other private material. A short description of the page and the uncertainty is sufficient to explain the concern.
